Out of this World
I'm in it yet I'm out of it,
My body is in but my heart is not,
At times its like a cage,
This world fallen away,
This world who has forgotten,
And in its arrogance
Does not care to remember,
All these things are bars,
A torment for every now and then,
I'm sure we're all ready to admit it,
This world is not perfect.
But why?
Why, so many people wonder,
What tore its beauty asunder?
Many a philosopher has tried,
Exploring the question's every avenue
Narrow and wide.
But it all boils down to drivel,
Arguments that wither and shrivel,
I cover my ears,
Deafened by the tormenting buzzing,
They glower down on little me,
Apart from what they see,
Being out of this world,
The answer is so simple to me,
How to be complete,
Strong,
And free.
One word,
One name,
One way,
Something we all need to consider today,
God.
